Why is Maths Methods so hard?
1. Maths Methods is one of the most difficult subjects...
Maths Methods is basically one of the hardest subjects that you can do. It's not as time intensive as like art subjects and that sort of thing, but it does involve a lot of work in order to get a good score.
2. Don't pick it because it get's "Marked Up"
Some people think that you should do Methods because it gets marked up and pick subjects which get marked up. It doesn't really make a lot of sense. Methods gets marked up simply because it is difficult. If you will perform better in another subject that you enjoy, you will probably get a better score in that subject unless you spend A LOT of time on Methods.
3. Maths Methods Exam harder than Specialist Maths?
There have been a lot of years where the Maths Methods exam has been harder than the Specialist Maths exam. This is because although the content in Specialist Maths is more advanced, the actual exam questions in Maths Methods are sometimes harder.

4. What is hard about Maths Methods?
It's more actually about the exam questions itself than it is about the actual content, but of course people have to understand the content as well. The main reason to pick Maths Methods is if it's a prerequisite for a university course that you want to get into or because it's a subject that you like.
5. How to get the best Maths Methods score with the least stress..

The curriculum is basically the same with a few minor differences. However, the exam questions are quite different from state to state, so while you can learn the content from anyone, you want to practise questions specifically for your own state (you can access ALL exam questions for FREE here).
To be a little more specific: Maths Methods tutors in Melbourne specialise in VCE Maths Methods, Maths Methods tutors in Brisbane specialise in QCAA Maths Methods, Maths Methods tutors in Adelaide or Darwin specialise in SACE Maths Methods (NT uses South Australian Curriculum), Maths Methods tutors in Hobart specialise in TASC Maths Methods and Maths Methods tutors in Canberra specialise in BSSS Maths Methods.
