3 Ways to Stop Making Silly Mistakes in Maths

Silly mistakes is one of the biggest problems that students run into in most subjects let alone Maths Methods. It's even more important in general maths where every mistake can cost you a lot of marks. 

So check out these three sips and let's get you the best possible at our score and Mark in year 11 and year 12 and pretty much any year that you are in. 

1. Give the Question the Respect it deserves...

So often students will come across an easy question in Maths Methods and be like "Ah that's easy I don't have to worry about it too much" and end up making a silly error but if you realize that these questions are actually important and that you can lose a lot of marks in them you'll find that you make less silly mistakes

2. Do Questions Systematically. 

Very often students have focused on other things so either thinking about the previous question the next question or whether they're making mistakes what you need to do is just focus on one step at a time and that's it don't do anything else don't do any calculations in your head this is where a lot of silly mistakes come from. 

3. Practise Exam Questions under Timed Conditions. 

The most important thing you can do is practice exam questions under time conditions this is going to help you learn how to get the best exam technique and I announce any mistakes that you make so doing this regularly probably more than the amount of textbook questions that you do, is really going to help.
