How to get a 25 Study Score in VCE General Maths

1. You do have to score significantly higher in General Maths..

Here are the exact marks you need to get a 25 in VCE General Maths. Unfortunately, VCE General Maths gets marked down, so you need to get 27 to get a study score of 25. Now, we're talking about the bottom 33 or so percent, so mid Cs.

2. What score do you need in your SACs?

Again, in your SAC, we're talking about bottom C+, so about 57% will do the trick but of course this depends on your school.

3. What score do you need in the Exams?

In Exam 1 is low C+, which is around 42/80 and ends up being about 53%. Exam 2 is above mid C, I'd say about 51/120, which is equivalent to at least 43%.

4. How to maximise your score.

Now, if you're not doing so well, don't panic! The key thing is to do on as many exam questions under time conditions, and you can get FREE Topics Tests and Mini Exams at mathsmethods.com.au/general

Each test is under 20 minutes long so you could do one a night if you were so motivated to and this will make a massive impact on your score.

Is General Maths the same around Australia?

The curriculum is basically the same with a few minor differences. However, the exam questions are quite different from state to state, so while you can learn the content from anyone, you want to practise questions specifically for your own state (you can access ALL exam questions for FREE here).

To be a little more specific: General Maths tutors in Melbourne specialise in VCE General Maths, General Maths tutors in Brisbane specialise in QCAA General Maths, WACE Mathematics Applications (ATAR course), General Maths tutors in Adelaide or Darwin specialise in SACE General Maths (NT uses South Australian Curriculum) and General Maths tutors in Hobart specialise in TASC General Maths.
