Why is Term 3 the hardest?
Most students consider Term 3 to be the hardest: Not only are you learning brand new topics that YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE but these new topics build upon everything else you’ve learnt this year.
But don’t worry!
This 1-hour workshop will give you confidence to power through Term 3. You will understand the fundamentals of the first topic, so that you can rapidly absorb what you’re learning in class and apply it to solving problems. I give you simple questions to solidify your understanding. By shifting the focus from memorising individual questions to understanding the concepts, you will leave the workshop with a new-found confidence in your ability to understand Maths.

Who is the presenter?
Alex is creator of one of the most popular Maths Methods websites (MathsMethods.com.au) with degrees in Mathematics/Astrophysics. Over the last 10 years, he's worked with tens-of-thousands of students, teachers, parents and tutors.
He's published over 10 Maths Methods books, presented seminars nationally and internationally.
What will be covered?
For Year 12's: Probability
This is completely different from any other Probability you’ve studied before. Most students consider this the hardest topic they study all year. Not only does it incorporate everything you’ve learnt (including Calculus!) but it includes a brand-new topic called Statistics, which students often find very confusing. Get a head-start on the first topic you'll cover in Term 3!
For Year 11's: Calculus
Calculus is actually quite simple, but year after year I notice students miss out on the most fundamental aspects of it. This class will help you understand the fundamentals of Year 11 Calculus and improve your ability to solve problems and understand the topics in class!
